Global Futures
The University of Waterloo’s Global Futures plan aims to empower interdisciplinary research that will impact the future of humanity and our planet. The MIRACLE Centre is a recipient of Global Futures Initiatives 2.0 Pre-seed grant. Through collaborations between our members including faculty in the Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, and Mathematics faculties, the MIRACLE Centre is addressing the world’s most pressing challenges in the areas of Health Futures and Technological Futures. To do this, we are creating new materials for microrobots, developing new applications, and improving sensing and computational technologies to allow for improved treatments. MIRACLE solutions will transform medical care by developing less invasive, more targeted, more accessible, and less costly treatments with the help of microrobotic technology.
